Position Description:

The School of Mathematical Sciences of Hebei Normal University invites applications for two types of two-year postdoctoral positions.

Applicants should have, or be about to complete, a Ph.D. in mathematics. The age of an applicant must be less than 36.

The possible areas of expertise of an applicant are pure, applied or computational mathematics.

The successful candidate will have no obligation to teach, but will be required to apply for an external funding from National Natural Science Foundation of China and some other sources.

The main obligation of a successful candidate within the two-year period is to publish 2 or 3 papers (depending on the type of the postdoctoral position) in any journals from the list provided by the Chinese Mathematical Society; see the link:

The offered salary depends on qualifications of the applicant.

We also offer free accommodation in convenient apartments for teachers, close to the south gate of the campus (2 minutes by foot).

Finally, we offer a start-up grant to support academic exchanges.

The successful candidate may conduct their research either independently or collaboratively.

The School of Mathematical Sciences of Hebei Normal University is well known across China as traditionally strong in combinatorics, operator theory and operator algebra, and computational mathematics. The goal posed by the School of Mathematical Sciences is to build an active and strong international mathematical center. Currently, the School of Mathematical Sciences has 121 faculties, including 5 foreign faculties.
