The Department of Mathematics is seeking a combination position of an Instructor and an Academic Advisor/Coordinator. The incumbent will hold two appointments, a 0.65 FTE, fixed term, 9-month Instructor position, with reappointment at the discretion of the Department Head, and a 0.35 FTE, Academic Advisor/Coordinator, a 12-month, professional faculty position, reflecting duties in both academic and administrative areas.

Appointment at the Instructor rank is anticipated; however, appointment at a promoted rank may be considered depending upon the qualifications of the successful candidate.

This is a full-time position with a split role as an instructor and an academic advisor in the math department at OSU’s College of Science. This position supports the College of Science and its departments’ missions in general education of undergraduates and service to the public and the local and national professional communities. This position reports to the Department Head, who determines work assignments and annual contract renewal subject to satisfactory job performance and budget availability.
