Position Description

The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Baylor University invites applications for the Robert and Veronica K. Piziak Endowed Chair in Mathematics to begin August 1, 2026.  Details for this position can be found at apply.interfolio.com/168605. We seek an internationally recognized mathematics scholar with a vibrant research agenda. The ideal candidate should possess world-class expertise in a specific area of mathematics, with research that has been at the forefront of recent breakthroughs and advances in the field. The successful candidate will be expected to make significant contributions to the department's research and teaching, thereby substantially enhancing the visibility and reputation of the Mathematics Department and Baylor University.  We seek a collegial faculty member who will contribute positively to the department's culture of outstanding research, innovative teaching, and dedicated service to our undergraduate and graduate students.
