Your responsibilities

The applicant has a professionally excellent, internationally visible research profile, which is proven by successful publications in renowned international journals. Suitable applicants (f/m/d) have already achieved success in applying for third-party funding projects and bring with them the necessary personal prerequisites to be able to establish and lead their own research group.

The research areas shall include modern methods of partial differential equations with a considerate link to applications in the engineering or natural sciences. Possible but not exclusive areas are

  • applications in the engineering and natural sciences
  • modern methods of numerical fluid mechanics
  • reaction diffusion equations in the life sciences
  • partial differential equations under uncertainties
  • data driven methods for differential equations

We expect the initiation and development of interdisciplinary collaborations in the university and its research environment. Furthermore, the organisation of joint research projects and the raising of third-party fundings are expected.

The professorship teaches in the mathematical bachelor and master programs and participates in the teaching service in engineering study programs.
