The Point University location in Savannah (on the campus of Compassion Christian Church) offers on-site courses for both dual-enrollment and traditional students in the Savannah-Chatham County area school systems, and to those who are homeschooled. 

We are seeking applicants for a full-time instructor of Mathematics whose primary teaching responsibilities will include Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, and Pre-Calculus. The successful candidate will teach at the Savannah campus and will also travel to instruct students at our partner high schools in the county. This person will also serve as the subject lead and primary contact for other math faculty in Savannah. A commitment to student-centered pedagogy is desired. 

 REQUIREMENTS 
  • Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in subject field; doctorate preferred. 
  • Effective teaching ability/excellent communication skills 
  • Basic computer literacy 
  • Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred 
  • Experience with Canvas LMS preferred 
  • Willingness to be a professional role model and mentor. 
  • Commitment to undergraduate education, professional growth, service and scholarship in a distinctively Christian setting, including agreement with the University’s mission and goals, values, and doctrinal statement.
