Position Description
The New Jersey Institute of Technology is searching for a Post Doctoral Research Associate to work on problems in the intersection of inverse problems, analysis, and computational mathematics. The position is initially for one year, with the option to renew for 1-2 additional years, subject to satisfactory performance. The start date is negotiable. The successful candidate will work on the ONR Project “Optimal Transport-based Strategies in Waves and Dynamics” led by Prof. Christina Frederick at NJIT. Essential functions will include research into optimal transport theory to capture the intrinsic characteristics of complex physical processes arising in a wide range of important scientific applications, e.g., ocean electromagnetics, inverse scattering, time series modeling. The postdoctoral associate will integrate and develop optimal transport theories and computational methods for the forward and inverse modeling in these applications.We are not accepting applications for this job through MathJobs.Org right now.
