Position Description

The Department of Mathematics, College of Arts and Sciences, at Texas A&M University invites applications for an Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) position. This is a full-time position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning in the fall semester 2026. Emphasis for this search will be in the area of number theory.

Responsibilities for this position include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, research, and service to the Department and the University.

Qualifications Required:

A Ph.D. in Mathematics or related field.

Candidates are expected to have made significant contributions in their research field and provide evidence of excellence in teaching

Preferred:

Research productivity beyond the doctoral dissertation will normally be expected.
