Position Description

Subject to availability of funding, the Department will have multiple openings at the level of Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor (with the possibility of appointment at Distinguished Professor for exceptional candidates). The department has identified priority areas of discrete mathematics, applied mathematics, and algebra; but outstanding candidates in any area of mathematics will be considered. Candidates must have a PhD in mathematics by employment start date. Candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics, perform research, and supervise graduate students. The academic year salary for an assistant resp. associate resp. full professor will not be less than $82,110 resp. $84,950 resp. $95,764, based on the most recent collective bargaining agreement between the faculty union (AAUP-AFT) and Rutgers University.
