Position Description

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, is accepting applications for an assistant, associate, or full professor position in mathematics, which is expected to be filled this year. We are seeking applicants whose research includes Partial Differential Equations, but we encourage strong candidates in all areas of research to apply. 

Position duties include conducting research, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, and engaging in service. The teaching load in the Department of Mathematics is competitive and the position is expected to begin in August of 2026. Application will be reviewed beginning October 15, 2025. Qualifications 

Candidates at the entry level must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. degree or have completed all but dissertation in Mathematics or a closely related field. Candidates at the advanced assistant, associate, or full professor level must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field.
