Juniata College, a nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Pennsylvania, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Statistics. The position carries a 21-credit teaching load per academic year. We seek an excellent teacher-scholar who can teach a range of undergraduate courses in statistics and data science, integrate technology into instruction, and mentor student research. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach courses such as multivariate statistics, statistical consulting, information visualization, and probability. Experience with R or Python is strongly desired. Candidates should show evidence of ongoing professional development, which may include research in statistics, mathematics, or data science; consulting; or scholarship of teaching and learning. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to take leadership roles in Juniata’s undergraduate and graduate data science programs.
