• The standard teaching load for a lecturer is 27 credit hours per academic year.
• A strong commitment to excellence in teaching mathematics courses ranging from general education courses to more advanced mathematics courses (depending on qualifications).
• A strong commitment to student success among the college's disciplines and be ready to invest deeply in KSU students.
• Service to the department or institution is also required. 

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines. 

• Record of past teaching at the undergraduate level.
• Experience in implementing active learning methods that facilitate meaningful engagement with students.
• Experience teaching courses such as college algebra, precalculus, and calculus.
• Evidence of commitment to student success.

Department Information:  Our students experience world-class instruction in the Department of Mathematics from faculty who are deeply invested in student success. Nearly all courses offered by the department are designed and taught entirely by full-time faculty. Our small classes allow instructors to develop close individualized relationships with students that sets them on a path for success whether majoring in mathematics or many other related disciplines.
