Position Description

The Department of Mathematics at North Carolina State University invites applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position beginning Fall 2026. We seek exceptionally qualified candidates in all areas of fundamental and interdisciplinary mathematics, supplementing and enhancing the department’s existing strengths.

Candidates must hold a PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a related area; have post-doctoral experience; have a strong research record; and have a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We welcome applicants who are committed to creating a collegial and supportive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
