• Full time, 4-year fixed term opportunity, located on the Camperdown Campus at the School of Mathematics and Statistics

• Base Salary, Academic Level B $127,436 - $151,328 + 17% superannuation.

About the opportunity

The School of Mathematics and Statistics is currently seeking a Lecturer in Pure Mathematics who will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning design, delivery, and evaluation in pure mathematics while continuing to build research contribution, expertise, connections, and impact.

Your key responsibilities will be to

• work closely with other School members in geometric group theory, representation theory and related areas

• conduct high-quality research in geometric group theory, representation theory or related areas

• teach graduate and undergraduate courses in pure mathematics for students from different disciplinary backgrounds

• supervise and coordinate graduate and undergraduate students,

• apply for external funding.

About you

• a PhD (or near completion) in geometric group theory, representation theory or a related area
