IHES is advertising one (2+1)-year post-doctoral positions in theoretical physics with a starting date in the fall 2026, financed by the Huawei Young Talent Program. Candidates with a strong background in quantum and/or conformal field theory, effective field theory, gravitation, condensed matter theory and topological field theory, broadly interpreted, and interested in critical phenomena in condensed matter and statistical mechanics, bootstrap, renormalization group, topological phases of matter, generalized symmetries, tensor networks, scattering amplitudes and gravitational wave physics are invited to apply. Successful candidates will interact with the IHES physics faculty Clément Delcamp, Sridip Pal, Julio Parra-Martinez, Slava Rychkov and Thibault Damour (emeritus) and will benefit from the vibrant physics community of the IHES and of the greater Paris area.
