Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Mathematics Length of appointment: 2 years, contingent upon satisfactory performance Salary: Commensurate with education and experience The Mathematical Sciences Department at George Mason University offers strong and flexible undergraduate and graduate programs. Located in Fairfax, Virginia, Mason is part of the Washington DC metropolitan area offering easy access to the scientific and political resources of the nation’s capital. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to carry out independent research in mathematics, and teach one course per semester at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Preference will be given to applicants in areas of applied and pure mathematics who employ computational approaches in their research. Starting date: The appointment begins in the Fall Semester 2026. Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree by the time of appointment.
