Applications are invited for a

University-Assistant Position (Postdoc)

starting on December 1, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment is limited to three years and comes with a 4h/week teaching duty. The basic salary corresponds to the collective agreement for employees of the universities according to § 48 VwGr. B1 lit b basic level (postdoc): e 4.932,90 on a full-time basis (14 times per year).

The successful candidate will join the the Research Group on Applied Mathematics and Modeling led by Ulisse Stefanelli at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Vienna. Current interests of the Group are in calculus of variations, partial differential equations, and evolution equations, with applications to materials science, continuum mechanics, and complex systems. A very strong background in partial differential equations and calculus of variations is expected.
