Position Description

The School of Basic Sciences at EPFL invites applications for a faculty position in Differential geometry and Geometric analysis at the Institute of Mathematics. The appointment will be at the Tenure Track Assistant Professor level.

We seek outstanding candidates with research interests in any domain of Differential geometry and Geometric analysis. Examples of research areas include, but are not restricted to, Riemannian and pseudo-Riemannian geometry, symplectic geometry, complex and Kähler geometry, differential topology, geometric evolutions, geometric PDEs, and applications of differential geometry to physics.

Candidates should hold a PhD and have an outstanding record of scientific accomplishments in the field. Commitment to excellent teaching at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels is also expected. The successful candidate will develop an independent and competitive research program in a multidisciplinary environment. The Faculty member will supervise their own PhD students, engage with researchers in related fields across the EPFL campus, and contribute to EPFL education programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
