Job Purpose:
The University of Scranton Department of Mathematics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2026.

Essential Duties:
Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service in an undergraduate liberal arts environment. The mathematics department offers a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences, with tracks in Actuarial Science, Biological Sciences, Computer & Information Science, Data Science, and Physical Sciences. Given the department’s current need, the candidate should show a willingness to teach a significant number of foundational mathematics courses and contribute to our existing programs.

Applicants should have or complete a Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the time of appointment.
