Position Description:

Postdoctoral Scholar/Lecturer – Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for one or more Postdoctoral Scholar / Unit 18 Lecturer positions in the areas of arithmetic geometry, representation theory, algebraic geometry, automorphic forms, and number theory. The expected start date of the position is July 1, 2026. The appointment term is full-time for three years, and a reasonable full-time salary estimate for this position is $69,073–$82,836 for the Postdoctoral Scholar title and $70,977–$199,722 for the Unit 18 Lecturer title.
