The Center for the Study of Complex Systems (CSCS) and The Michigan Center for Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics (MCAIM) are receiving nominations for Van Loo Post-Doctoral Fellowships. 

Nominations and Selection: 

In order to be eligible for a Van Loo Post-Doctoral Fellowship, a candidate has to do research in Mathematics and Complex Systems. The Van Loo Post-Doctoral Fellows will be selected by the MCAIM Van Loo Post-Doctoral Fellowship Committee from nominations provided by Mathematics, Complex Systems and Physics. 

Expectations: 

A Van Loo Post-Doctoral Fellow, in addition to continuing the interdisciplinary research in Mathematics and another area, is expected to contribute actively to the academic environment at MCAIM, the hosting Department and the Department of Mathematics at UM. This includes attending seminars in these Departments, interacting with faculty, other postdocs and students. Van Loo Post-Doctoral Fellows are encouraged to co-organize interdisciplinary conferences or similar academic activities at UM with the help of MCAIM. Fellowships can be renewed up to a total of three years. Teaching expectations are 1-3 courses each year, depending on research area.
