The College of Arts & Sciences at Dakota State University
invites applications for a full-time (9-month) Instructor of
Mathematics. Our mathematics program offers four specializations:
Information Systems, Cryptography, Secondary Education, and Intermediate
Education. A significant portion of our mathematics majors pursue
double majors in computer science or artificial intelligence, and the
majority of our math courses are designed to serve general education
requirements and to support various Computer Science programs. The
typical workload for this position involves teaching thirty credit hours
per academic year.

Required Qualifications:
- A Masters degree with at least 18 graduate math content credits is required, and a Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field is preferred.
- Ability to teach undergraduate students.
- Willingness to teach online courses.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be expected to teach a variety of mathematics courses, both face-to-face and on-line, at the undergraduate level (including general education courses).
- The candidate will be expected to create engaging online content for online courses, which should include videos and appropriate assessments.
