Position Description
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor, starting August 2026.
Duties include teaching twenty-four semester credit hours per academic year along with service in support of departmental goals in undergraduate education. This position will be responsible for teaching a minimum of 12 credit hours per year (2 sections) of MATH 1030, College Algebra with Supplemental Instruction. The salary for the 9-month academic year is $50,000. Summer teaching may be available for additional pay.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely-related field, the degree must be awarded by the start of the appointment.
- Teaching experience at the secondary or higher education level; experience teaching developmental courses is preferred.
- A letter of application

- Teaching Statement- The teaching statement should detail the experience in teaching mathematics courses, including a brief description of the courses taught, and it should highlight any innovative teaching approaches, if applicable.
- Three letters of recommendation, at least two highlighting teaching.
