Position Description

George Fox University announces a tenure-track faculty position in Mathematics to begin August 2026. A successful candidate is passionate about living out their faith and teaching mathematics with small classes of engaged students. We invite applicants with the ability to teach through the eyes of faith within our core coursework of calculus, statistics, mathematics for the liberal arts, and proof-based upper division courses.


The mission of the Mathematics & Data Analytics Program is to foster intellectual curiosity and nurture a hunger for truth and possibility, using a Christ-centered approach to equip students to problem-solve creatively, leverage data effectively, and embrace transformative thinking. Our department serves motivated majors as well as cohorts in engineering, nursing, business, biology and many other majors. Courses taught will be selected to minimize distinct course preps and encourage collaboration with the mathematics faculty.

  • An earned doctorate in Mathematics (or closely related field). Applicants who are A.B.D in a Ph.D program will be considered.

Preference Will be Given to Those Who Have the Following Attributes:

  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a diverse population of students.

Salary and Rank:

  • Appointment at the Assistant Professor level is anticipated, though candidates with significant teaching experience at previous institutions may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.
