Position Description

Three postdoctoral positions in pure mathematics starting in Fall 2026 are open for applications at the Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Poland as part of the Dioscuri Centre in Random Walks in Geometry and Topology, led by Mikołaj Frączyk. These are pure research positions with no teaching duties. We are looking for candidates interested in
  • measured group theory, 
  • discrete subgroups of semisimple Lie groups, 
  • dynamics of mapping class group actions, 
  • geometric measure theory.
A PhD in mathematics or related field is expected by the time the appointment starts but not required at the application stage.
