Job description

The Department of Mathematics at KTH invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral position in random matrix theory and high-dimensional statistics, in close collaboration with Assoc. Prof. Johannes Heiny. The research project aims at understanding phase transitions and universality for spectral statistics of random matrices and their applications in high-dimensional statistics, machine learning and probability theory.

The Department of Mathematics at KTH offers a high-class, active research environment within a broad spectrum of mathematical fields in both pure and applied mathematics, including random matrix theory, discrete geometry, combinatorics, topology, the mathematical foundations for data and AI, and mathematical statistics. A wide range of training opportunities for further qualification is provided. Up to 20% of the position may include teaching or supervision duties.
