Position Description

The Laboratoire de Mathématique d'Orsay, Université Paris-Saclay, is currently advertising a post-doctoral position in mathematical physics in the group of Colin Guillarmou

The appointment is for 2 years and comes with travel support. It is funded by the Simons Collaboration on « Probabilistic Paths to Quantum Field Theory », https://probabilistic-qft.org/, which addresses broad theoretical questions interfacing quantum and conformal field theory, probability theory. 

We welcome applications of candidates in mathematical physics, with a background in quantum/conformal field theory, probability and stochastic analysis, Riemann surfaces, integrable models in QFT, spectral theory. 

The successful applicant will benefit from the Simons Collaboration activities and will join a mathematical and theoretical physics community in Paris-Saclay and in the Paris area. 

Duration: The postdoc position is for two years, with flexibility on the starting date (from June to September 2026). 

Eligibility: It is mandatory to hold a PhD at the starting date of the contract. 

Teaching: No teaching load.
