Fellowship Description

Applications are invited for Fields Postdoctoral Fellowship positions with the Thematic Program on Quantum Algorithms for Differential Equations (the "Program") taking place at the Fields Institute from July 1 - December 31, 2026. More information on the program will be posted here as it becomes available: http://www.fields.utoronto.ca/activities/26-27/quantum-algorithms-QADE. The fellowships provide for a period of engagement in research and participation in the activities of the Institute. Candidates are encouraged to interpret the subject areas of the program broadly. These fellowships pay a total stipend of CAD$35,000 for the six month program. Fellowships may be offered in conjunction with other universities, through which a further period of support may be possible. Please contact faculty members who you feel may be appropriate supervisors for this fellowship and note them in your cover letter. PhD students are encouraged to include expected completion dates in their cover letter.

One of the Fields Postdoctoral Fellows associated with the Program may be awarded the prestigious Jerrold E. Marsden Postdoctoral Fellowship. This fellowship pays an enhanced stipend for participation in the Program. Eligibility: Qualified candidates who will have a recent PhD in the area of the Program or a related area of the mathematical sciences are encouraged to apply. Women and underrepresented minorities are especially encouraged to apply. Fellowship positions are conditional on funding for the Program. This ad will be posted until all positions are filled.
