In their cover letter, candidates should address their experience interacting with and mentoring undergraduate students. They should provide evidence of teaching excellence and the ability to create effective active learning experiences in the classroom. Prior experience teaching introductory calculus is preferred. The Department of Mathematics graduates about 20 majors and 20 minors each year. In addition to a minor, BA, and BS in Mathematics, we also offer a minor and BS in Applied Mathematics. We are also committed to mentoring our visiting faculty to be successful teachers, scholars, and colleagues as they progress in their careers.
