Position Description

Description New College of Florida invites applications for an instructional faculty position in undergraduate Statistics, starting in August, 2026.

The successful candidate will be prepared to teach undergraduate statistics courses, with a primary focus on multi-section introductory courses that serve a broad range of students. This is a full time instructional position with a typical workload of 3 courses per semester or equivalent hours via other instructional duties (such as lab supervision). Moreover, candidates will also have the opportunity to sponsor individual and group tutorials, independent study projects, and serve on senior thesis committees. We are particularly interested in candidates who are flexible and willing to collaborate with the instructional faculty at New College as part of a team highly committed to effective undergraduate teaching.

Qualifications A Masters in statistics or a closely related technical field is required by the date of employment.

How to apply Interested candidates should apply online  A complete application includes: (1) cover letter, (2) curriculum vitae, (3) statement of teaching philosophy (including reflection on courses taught and/or course proposals), (4) graduate transcript (may be unofficial for initial application) (5) names and email addresses of three scholars to provide letters of recommendation (at least two of which should evaluate teaching)

Also, if available, candidates are encouraged to supply a sample of instructional evaluations from students, especially from introductory statistics courses.
