The Department of Mathematics at New Uzbekistan University invites applications for a faculty position in Mathematics at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We welcome candidates from all areas of pure and applied mathematics, statistics. The main expectation for this position is a strong research record with publications in high-quality international journals. We value quality over quantity and give particular attention to papers published in leading journals in the field.The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active research program, publish in strong journals, supervise graduate students, and contribute to the research culture of the department.
Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses delivered in English, as well as participation in curriculum development and departmental academic activities.
The salary is highly competitive by regional standards, offered in the range of $40,000–80,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

About the University and Department
New Uzbekistan University is a rapidly developing, research-oriented institution located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, established with the goal of building internationally competitive higher education in Central Asia. From its establishment, the Department of Mathematics was conceived as a central component of the university’s academic structure. The intention was to ensure that all programs, from engineering to the social sciences, are supported by solid mathematical training and logical rigor. For this reason, the department was developed with a strong emphasis on theoretical foundations, while also maintaining attention to analytical and applied perspectives relevant to contemporary scientific problems.
The department includes researchers working in areas such as Algebraic Topology, Poisson Geometry, Algebraic Geometry, Mathematical Physics, Number Theory, Cryptography, Multivariate Statistical Analysis, Information Retrieval, and Kähler Geometry. Faculty members have received academic training or held positions at internationally recognized institutions including SUNY Stony Brook, Cornell University, the University of Michigan, the Max Planck Institute, Brown University, Stanford University, Duke University, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Waterloo, and UC Irvine.
