Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics

Job Summary We seek a talented individual who is passionate about teaching, invested in student success, and eager to teach undergraduate mathematics to students from a variety of majors. If you desire to make a difference in the lives of undergraduate students, we invite you to apply for a one-year, visiting assistant professor position to begin August 18, 2026. Review of applications will begin March 30, 2026, and continue until the position is filled.

Principle Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach courses in undergraduate mathematics. Ohio Northern University faculty teach 23-25 credit hours per year. Additional responsibilities include service to the Department and College. Questions concerning the position should be directed to Dr. Tena Roepke at t-roepke@onu.edu.

Required Skills: The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the enthusiasm, knowledge, and skill to teach undergraduate mathematics, excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, and to solve problems creatively in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Mathematics is required. An ABD will be considered if all degree requirements are completed before September 1, 2026. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate mathematics courses are encouraged to apply.
