Āu Mahi | What You Will Do We have three fixed-term Lecturer opportunities with research interests in either Applied Mathematics or Statistics to join the dynamic and evolving School of Mathematics and Statistics.

You will contribute to the vibrancy and growth of our research culture while teaching into our existing courses. This role offers significant opportunities to build interdisciplinary collaborations and strengthen connections across the Faculty and wider University community.

Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

Undertake high-quality, internationally recognised research and contribute to the School’s research profile. Teach courses at undergraduate levels in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, up to 50 lecture hours per year. Build and maintain collaborative research relationships within the School and beyond. Contribute to the academic life of the School. Uphold and actively support the values, tikanga, and kawa of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and demonstrate respect for te reo Māori. Mōu | Who You Are

You hold a PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline (or NZQA Level 10 equivalent qualification). You have a research record appropriate for an early career researcher. You demonstrate the ability and commitment to deliver high-quality teaching at the undergraduate level. You have experience creating inclusive learning environments that support a diverse range of learners. You are adaptable and confident in using digital technologies to enhance teaching and learning. You value diversity of thought, demonstrate resilience, and are committed to contributing positively to the School community.
