Transylvania University (www.transy.edu), a top-tier, independent, residential liberal arts college in Lexington, Kentucky, invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics. This is a full-time, two year, non-tenure-track position, teaching in-person classes, beginning August 27, 2026. Job Description: The mathematics program is an exclusively undergraduate program that emphasizes innovative, hands-on teaching in small class settings. The teaching load consists of three courses per term, plus one short-term course in May (3-3-1). We are interested in candidates with the ability to teach a range of courses such as Precalculus, Calculus I and II, Elementary Statistics, Contemporary Mathematics (non-majors), as well as a potential elective in their specialty. 

Qualifications: A Ph.D. or nearly completed Ph.D. is required along with some college level teaching experience. All specializations are welcome to apply.
