Applicants are expected to have demonstrated or possess exceptional research potential that marks them for future leadership in their respective research fields. The initial appointment is for five years with a possibility of a one-time renewal of up to five years following an evaluation process; each period of appointment may be adjusted according to conditions of the HCMC project. The annual salary is around 81,000,000 Korean won (currency exchange rate including severance pay, determined by project funding. An individual research grant of about 20,000,000 Korean Won and a benefit card of approximately 2,000,000 Krw will be available each year. (Benefits are subject to change depending on funding.) There are no teaching duties. In addition, June E Huh Fellows are asked to work at least four months per year on KIAS campus; with prior approval, they may change their working locations to overseas institutions for the remaining eight months (※ Relevant appointments should abide by KIAS personnel regulations.). Applicants are expected to have demonstrated exceptional research potential, including major contributions beyond or through the doctoral dissertation. The initial appointment is for two years with a possibility of a one-time renewal of up to three years; each period of appointment may be adjusted according to conditions of the HCMC project. The annual salary (excluding severance pay) is around 68,000,000 Korean won, determined by project funding. An individual research grant of about 15,000,000 Korean Won and a benefit card of approximately 2,000,000 Krw will be available each year. (Benefits are subject to change depending on funding.)
