Wabash College invites applications for a visiting faculty position in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a flexible department with dynamic programs in both mathematics and computer science, we seek candidates with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching in either mathematics or computer science. As such, candidates with backgrounds and teaching experience in any area of mathematics, statistics, computer science, actuarial science, closely related disciplines, or combinations of these, will be considered. Teaching duties are three courses per semester, each of which is the equivalent of four credit hours with three in-class contact hours. Faculty also participate in the writing and administration of senior written and oral comprehensive exams. Courses will be chosen in part according to candidate interest and will likely include a mix of introductory and intermediate/advanced courses. Visiting faculty are considered full members of the department and participate in department functions and decision making. Candidates hired with a Ph.D. will be appointed as Visiting Assistant Professor while ABD candidates will be appointed as Visiting Instructor. The initial appointment will be for one year, with renewal possible based on a determination of college circumstances and needs.
