The Division of Applied Mathematics seeks applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position. We are particularly interested in postdoctoral researchers who will strengthen and build collaborations between the Division of Applied Mathematics and the climate sciences, brain science, and/or computer science. This will be a two-year, non-tenured, and non-renewable appointment, with a start date of July 1, 2026. Candidates are required to have received a Ph.D. degree or equivalent by the start of this appointment and may have up to three years of prior academic and/or postdoctoral research experience. Applicants should have strong research potential, and their field of research should be consistent with the current research interests of the departmental faculty, as well as a specified potential collaboration with the climate sciences, brain science, and/or computer science. For this position, Brown offers only the J-1 visa classification to scholars who need immigration sponsorship in order to enter the U.S. and commence lawful employment under the terms of their appointment.
