The Canada Impact+ Research Chair program is designed to support world-leading researchers whose work addresses critical national and global challenges. Impact+ nominees must be able to clearly demonstrate how their research translates into real-world applications, such as commercialization or policy (where relevant), with clear social and economic benefits for Canada and the world.

We are particularly interested in candidates whose research complements existing strengths within the Faculty of Science and in the broader university. We offer a collaborative research environment with established strengths in AI, data science, public health modelling, and policy-relevant research, including in a new Centre of Excellence in AI for Public Health Advancement (AIPHA). The Impact+ Chair would have access to high-performance computing infrastructure, secure data environments, and extensive national and international research networks.
