Position Description:

Lindsey Wilson University (LWU), a United Methodist–affiliated institution located in south-central Kentucky, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics. LWU’s 200-acre hilltop campus in Columbia, Kentucky, rests within the agricultural region of the foothills of Appalachia and offers access to a range of outdoor recreational opportunities.

The preferred candidate will hold a Ph.D. in mathematics but ABD candidates will be considered. The successful candidate will teach courses in the mathematics major curriculum, along with mathematics courses in the general education curriculum. This position emphasizes teaching, advising, scholarship (broadly defined), and service to the university. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. The successful candidate will begin in August, 2026.
