Postdoctoral Researcher in Geometric Partial Differential Equations Unit

The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST; see www.oist.jp) is an international graduate school offering a 5-year PhD program in science and technology. Position summary: Postdoctoral Researcher in Prof. Qing Liu’s Geometric Partial Differential Equations Unit. https://www.oist.jp/research/research-units/gpde

Working Location: 1919-1 Tancha, Onna-son, Okinawa, Japan 904-0495

Responsibilities:

1. Engage in ongoing and active research.

2. Serve as a teaching assistant for math courses.

3. Participate and contribute in the activities of the GPDE unit and OIST math group.

Qualifications: (Required)

PhD in Mathematics.

Report to: Professor Qing Liu/Geometric Partial Differential Equations Unit

Starting Date: September 2026, or onward

Term & Working hours: Term: Full-time. The initial appointment is for 2 years, with a possible 1-year extension, for a maximum total of 3 years.

Working hours: 9:00-17:30 (Discretionary)
