Award Description
The International Congress of Basic Sciences (ICBS) invites early-career researchers in China to apply for the inaugural ICBS Innovation Award. The award supports future leaders in basic sciences and frontier interdisciplinary fields.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Age: Under 50 (as of the submission deadline)
- Employment: Full‑time position at a research institution in China
- Career stage: Completed postdoctoral research
- Track record: Published internationally influential research, established an independent research direction, and demonstrated strong potential for transformative innovation
Award Benefits
- Personal prize: RMB 100,000
- Research funding: RMB 200,000 – 2 million (based on project needs)
- Research residency: Option for a temporary residency at one of six premier institutions (e.g., Yau Mathematical Sciences Center, Tsinghua University; Institute of High Energy Physics, CAS; etc.)
