Postdoctoral Positions in AI for Science and Scientific Computing The AI Research Institute at Great Bay University invites applications for two postdoctoral positions in AI for Science and scientific computing. Research Description The postdoctoral researchers will work with Prof. Zhihong Xia and collaborators on AI-enabled methods for scientific and industrial computation. Possible research topics include: Scientific machine learning Numerical partial differential equations (PDEs) Computational fluid dynamics Neural operators High-performance computing Data-driven modeling Qualifications Applicants should have a Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, computational science, physics, or a closely related field by the start date. Applicants are expected to have strong programming skills in Python, hands-on experience with PyTorch, and practical experience with GPU computing. Experience with engineering simulation, computational engineering software, or large-scale numerical experiments is desirable. Terms and Benefits The initial appointment is for two years, with renewal possible subject to performance and funding availability. The positions are available immediately, with flexible start dates. Salary and benefits are competitive.
