Le Département de mathématiques et de statistique de l'Université d'Ottawa recherche une ou un spécialiste principal pour superviser les activités pédagogiques, techniques et administratives quotidiennes du Laboratoire de statistique. La ou le titulaire coordonne le matériel pédagogique, soutient la population étudiante, supervise les assistantes et assistants d'enseignement et enseigne jusqu'à deux cours de trois crédits par année.

Exigences principales : grade d'études supérieures (doctorat de préférence) en statistique, biostatistique, science des données ou discipline quantitative connexe; cinq années d'expérience en enseignement postsecondaire; excellente connaissance de l'informatique statistique (R ou Python, SAS); bilinguisme (français et anglais). Poste à temps plein, 35 h/semaine. Échelle salariale : 90 987 $ – 114 932 $.

Senior Specialist, Statistics Laboratory University of Ottawa — Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa seeks a Senior Specialist to oversee the day-to-day pedagogical, technical, and administrative operations of the Statistics Teaching Laboratory. The incumbent coordinates teaching materials, supports students, supervises teaching assistants, and teaches a maximum of two three-credit courses per year.

Key requirements: graduate degree (PhD preferred) in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a closely related quantitative discipline; five years of post-secondary teaching experience; strong knowledge of statistical computing (R or Python, SAS); bilingualism (French and English). Full-time, 35 hrs/week. Salary range: $90,987 – $114,932.
