Applications are invited for Fields Postdoctoral Fellowship positions with the Thematic Program on Geometric Analysis and Mathematical Physics (the "Program") taking place at the Fields Institute from July 1 - December 31, 2027. More information on the program will be posted here as it becomes available: https://www.fields.utoronto.ca/activities/27-28/GA-MP. The fellowships provide for a period of engagement in research and participation in the activities of the Institute. Candidates are encouraged to interpret the subject areas of the program broadly. These fellowships pay a total stipend of CAD$35,000 for the six months of the program. Fellowships may be offered in conjunction with partner universities, through which a further period of support may be possible. In their cover letter, applicants should list name(s) of any faculty members at Fields Institute Principal Sponsoring Universities (PSUs), working in the general areas of Geometric Analysis or Mathematical Physics, who they feel may be appropriate supervisors. Applicants should also independently apply for postdoctoral positions, at these PSUs, that are advertised as being associated to this particular Thematic Program. The list of Fields PSUs can be found here: https://www.fields.utoronto.ca/about/sponsors. Current PhD students are asked to include their expected completion dates in their cover letter. Eligibility: Qualified candidates who will have a recent PhD in the area of the Program, or a closely related area of the mathematical sciences, are encouraged to apply. Women and underrepresented minorities are especially encouraged to apply. Fellowship positions are conditional on funding for the Program.
