The Department of Mathematics at Duke University in Durham, NC invites applications for a tenure­-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to begin July 1, 2018 or later.

Candidates must have exceptional research achievements and evidence of high-quality teaching. Excellent applications from all fields of mathematics, both pure and applied, will be considered.

In addition, we are particularly interested in applicants in the following fields:

* Modern Scientific Computing and Computational Science

* Partial differential equations, Analysis and Dynamical Systems, both pure and applied.

* Algebra and Algebraic Geometry

* Probability, Stochastic Modeling and Analysis, and Random Algorithms
