Applications are invited for several positions as Griffiths Assistant Research Professor of Mathematics. Candidates should have completed a doctorate as of August 1, 2018 and show definite promise in research and teaching. The teaching load for Griffiths ARPs will vary, but will generally be one to three courses per academic year. Appointments may be up to three years and will begin on August 1, 2018.

Positions will be in various fields. Below are examples of fields being sought:

* Scientific computing, in particular domain decomposition, multiscale analysis and computation, and numerical homogenization.

* Asymptotic analysis and semiclassical methods for Schrodinger equations

* Algebraic number theory and arithmetic geometry

* Algebraic geometry
