Position Summary:

Willamette University invites applications for a tenure-track position in data science starting in Fall 2023. We particularly invite candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor; other ranks will be considered. Candidates will join the Computing and Data Science faculty and should have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Data Science prior to their start date. Candidates with a Ph.D. in the natural or social sciences with strong quantitative skills will also be considered. Academic areas of interest include, but are not limited to, statistics, econometrics, data engineering, data visualization, cyber security, natural language processing, machine learning, quantitative social science, and the digital humanities. Standard teaching load is 5 classes per year. All candidates are expected to show a commitment to teaching, research, and service.
