The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, specializing in Statistics.

The Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Statistics, commencing Fall 2019. The successful candidate is expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, publish in refereed research journals, pursue external funding, and supervise graduate students. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide service to the department, college, university, and the profession.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Statistics or related areas from an accredited college or university. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate commitment to excellence in both teaching and scholarly activity.

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions.
