Assistant Research Professor


The Department of Mathematics at the University of Connecticut, Storrs invites applications for an Assistant Research Professor position. This full-time, non-tenure track, nine-month faculty appointment will begin August 23, 2022 with an expected duration of three years, renewable annually. The teaching load is two (2) courses per semester or equivalent.

Preference will be given to candidates whose research are in geometric analysis, probability, and mathematical physics. Additional information about the Department may be found at

A Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics; university-level teaching experience; deep commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equity in a higher education setting; and evidence of research potential in mathematics.


Research expertise in geometric analysis, probability, or mathematical physics and a record of research activity.


This position is a full-time, nine-month position for an initial duration of one year, renewable annually for up to two additional years (three years total), contingent on satisfactory performance, mutual agreement and availability of funds.
