completed doctorate prior to review date. Experience: Evidence of teaching effectiveness. Preferred Qualifications Ability to teach upper-level undergraduate courses in both statistics and
mathematics; at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in statistics
and/or probability; experience with educational technology; experience
with directing undergraduate research projects; experience obtaining
external grants or funding; evidence of ability to collaborate with
colleagues from other departments; and/or evidence of ability to support

There are approximately 100 mathematics majors, about two-thirds of whom are intending to be secondary mathematics teachers. The department has 11 full-time faculty members who teach typically three courses a semester, who are active in scholarship, and who are engaged in departmental and college service. The department would like to expand its offerings and expertise in all statistics-related fields. The Mathematics Department promotes equity, inclusion, diversity, and social justice.
