The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Washington University in St. Louis has an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Mathematics, whose term will begin in the fall of 2022. We particularly invite candidates whose research interests align with those of the department's Algebra group, especially Algebraic and Arithmetic Geometry. 

Responsibilities include teaching three one-semester courses per year, maintaining a strong research program, and normal student advising and department and university service. Diversity and Inclusion are core values at Washington University, and the strong candidate will demonstrate the ability to create inclusive classrooms and environments in which a diverse array of students can learn and thrive.
